I was eventually drawn to John Welsford's Pathfinder as it seemed to offer an ideal compromise of size, ease of management (launch/retrieve) and sailing quality pedigree.
Other features that "sealed the deal" in my decision making was the design of its interior space including a generous forward deck, the gaff yawl rig and the fact that a cabin could be added at a later stage of the boats life.
Then most of all as it usually is in these cases, it was ..... looks!!!
I'd like to thank all fellow Pathfinder owners and builders who have made available the following pictures on the web, take a look at them and prove my decision wrong!!
