Sailing home

The last day of our week exploring Elba started early. We left the small cove where the night before we had another campfire dinner at 6am. Got the opportunity to enjoy the sunrise, fish some more bonitos while a nice steady breeze followed us all the way to the mainland , 14 miles away. Then we hauled out the boats, stored and made fast all the equipment and drove the eight hours back to our home port in the south of France.

Great at sailing , we've covered 2/3 of the perimeter of the island from the NE end rounding in counter clockwise direction.

Sailing in Thau lagoon

 Nice weekend sailing in the Thau lagoon, in southern France not too far from the Spanish border. Nice winds, hot weather and clean and warm water for occasional splashes

Pathfinder cove

My friend and his pathfinder stopped by to the small cove by our house which will go by the name of "Pathfinder cove" from now on!

 A short but pleasant late afternoon sail followed under grey and menacing skies with the twin boats Astrid and Europe shared the light airs and beautiful light.
